The Killkana Technical Journal of the Catholic University of Cuenca is a biannual scientific publication (June and December) dedicated to the dissemination of research in engineering and basic sciences. Its main objective is to stimulate the scientific, technological, educational and outreach efforts of the national and international scientific community. The journal covers a wide range of areas, including geotechnics, agriculture, veterinary science, hydrology, environmental sanitation, constructions, regional and local development, structures, architectural design, territory, city and environment, historical and heritage analysis, innovations in technologies and constructions, power and energy, renewable energies, lighting, automation, telecommunications, work methods and ergonomics (industrial), safety and hygiene, process management, innovation and entrepreneurship, prevention, control and remediation of contaminants in soil, air and water, business intelligence, information systems, governance and administration of information technologies, computer auditing, computer security, networks and communication, hardware architecture, software development architectures, software engineering, management and governance of information technology projects, requirements engineering, algorithms and programming, exact and natural sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, etc.), modelling and simulation, systems and transport. The articles are evaluated by a double-blind peer review system, guaranteeing the quality and originality of the published works. The journal provides open access to its content, promoting greater global exchange of knowledge, and is available in print and electronic editions.
